Director's note:
This film contains sequences of flashing lights that may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or other photo-sensitivities such as migraine.'
With HIRAETH, I wanted to immerse the audience in a visual and auditory experience where light and sound play with and affect one another, changing one another's very nature--if only momentarily. This is what happens when I experience a migraine with aura. It impacts my very ability to access thought, sensation, and even my conception of reality and memory can become transient, skewed by something as simple as a beam of light hitting my eye just so, or a sound as ordinary as a seagull passing overhead.

HIRAETH explores temporal, visual, and auditory disturbances as they relate to memory, specifically memories of my late father who--in times of personal struggle--was someone upon whom I would turn for comfort, counsel, and company. In his absence, I am filled with a kind of homesickness. A longing for something to which I can never return.
Step inside the experimental world of HIRAETH where you are the traveler, searching for something you will never find, and to which you can never return.
